Partnerships

The International Centre of Territory and Tourism Research assume itself as a multi-disciplinary structure, promoting R&D between Algarve’s University researchers and other academic communities on a continuous improvement mission. From here several valuable outputs can be achieved on different areas such as economy, management, tourism, information systems, environment engineering, geography, law, between other.

These outputs have been applied on the support of planning, evaluation and development of decisions supportive systems, by contracts with local and central administration institutions, with highlight for the Tourism of Portugal and Councils.

Assuming a strong connection to the territory, the CIITT seeks complementarities with Universities and R&D Centres, being in this moment working for its constitution as Associated Laboratory of the Science and Technology Foundation. To an international level its reference is the World Tourism Organization, the World Travel & Tourism Council and Universities which research related areas, enhancing research and methodological experiences exchange and good practices disclosure.
