The International Conference “The Leisure Yachting Industry: Defining New Directions for Tourism”, held on May 20th 2009 at the Municipal Museum of Portimão focuses on the link that the Algarve region has with the sea, addressing topics such as: Nautical Tourism and the Tourism Development Strategy for the Algarve, The Course of Nautical Tourism: Services and Infrastructure, The Course of Nautical Tourism: Events and Promotion, Cruise Port Activity.
